Biography
John Dougherty is an associate attorney in the Personal Injury Protection department at the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine.
Mr. Dougherty graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs. Prior to attending Indiana University, Mr. Dougherty attended Olivet Nazarene University where he was a member of the varsity baseball team that made back-to-back appearances in the NAIA World Series. After graduation, Mr. Dougherty moved to South Florida to attend St. Thomas University School of Law. While in law school Mr. Dougherty was introduced to Personal Injury Protection litigation through his clerkship at a Plaintiff’s law firm in Coral Gables, FL. After graduation, Mr. Dougherty joined the same Plaintiff’s firm as an associate attorney in the Personal Injury Protection department representing medical providers against insurance companies for unpaid or underpaid PIP benefits.
Mr. Dougherty joins Anidjar & Levine after spending over nine years defending insurance companies in Personal Injury Protection litigation. This vast experience on the defense side gives Mr. Dougherty a unique perspective when advocating for his clients now as a Plaintiff’s attorney.
Outside of the office, Mr. Dougherty enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking around South Florida, lifting weights, and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
