Why You May Want to Retain a Lawyer
Boat accidents are complicated. Some boating accidents that occur on public waterways are determined in Florida’s Federal Courts, since they fall under the federal admiralty jurisdiction, according to 28 U.S. Code § 1333.
A boating accident can cause a fierce legal clash between the involved parties. Fortunately, the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine will help you through all the phases of your case. We can help if your accident included:
- Overboard and on-the-boat falls
- Flooding and sinking of a vessel
- A collision between a boat and a fixed object
- Explosions or fuel fires
- Collision with other vessels
- Death or injury of a person while on the vessel
- And more
How Your Accident May Have Occurred
The negligent operation of water vessels may have seriously harmed you. A Lake Mary boating accident lawyer can search for evidence that can prove that the liable party was responsible for causing or contributing to your injuries. Recklessness and carelessness can be displayed in various ways, including:
- Violating maritime guidelines
- Not keeping a safe distance from other water vessels
- Sitting in the wrong places on the boat
- Splashing other water vessels
- Jumping into other water vessels
- Inattentiveness of the operator
- Overloading the vessel
Boat operators need to observe the same rules as motor vehicle drivers. Operating a boat while your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is above 0.08 is a recipe for disaster. It is illegal to operate a boat while intoxicated. Call 1-800-747-3733 to speak to a Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine team member today.
