File Your Claim at the First Sign of Nursing Home Abuse
Nursing home abuse or neglect in Jacksonville is a time-sensitive issue. As soon as you suspect your loved one is suffering from this type of abuse, seek immediate medical care. Immediate action is important for two reasons:
- Elderly men and women might have longer recovery times due to their physical frailty
- The state of Florida limits the time you have to file a nursing home abuse claim for financial recovery
Florida Statute §400.0236 generally allows as little as two years to file a lawsuit against the at-fault nursing home. If your suit is not filed within the required time, you might lose the ability to seek compensation at all. A Jacksonville rapid weight loss or hair loss lawyer can make sure your claim is filed in a timely fashion. When you are ready to seek compensation, contact theJacksonville personal injury lawyer at the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine by calling us.
