Do Not Wait to Seek Financial Compensation in Boca Raton
When you discover that your elderly parent or spouse has become the victim of abuse in their nursing home, take steps to move them to safety right away. Get immediate medical care for their wounds and injuries, then contact a local nursing home abuse law firm.
In Boca Raton, the time you have to file a lawsuit for financial recovery is generally limited to two years from the date the abuse took place, according to Florida Statutes § 400.0236. Determining that date can be tricky because you are unlikely to discover the abuse on the day it happens. Our team can help you find out when the abuse took place and how the statute of limitations applies to your compensation claim.
In Florida, waiting too long to file your lawsuit could put your right to compensation at risk. Waiting too long could mean you are unable to file your lawsuit or collect the compensation you deserve at all. Avoid this unfortunate consequence altogether by contacting our team as soon as possible. We work hard to make sure you comply with the timeline and avoid putting your lawsuit in jeopardy.

Resolve Your Nursing Home Abuse Case without Going to Court
You can resolve your nursing home abuse case, avoid time in court, and receive the financial compensation you deserve. With the guidance and direction of your lawyer, you can negotiate a financial settlement with the nursing home where your loved one was a resident.
Your lawyer will offer advice on the feasibility of any financial offer you receive, and on its ability to fully cover your financial expenses and losses. You should be aware, however, that you—not your lawyer—are always the one who decides whether to accept an offer or not.
If you agree to a settlement, you will release the nursing home from any further financial damage. If you discover hidden costs of the abuse your loved one suffered at a later date, you will not be able to seek additional coverage.
That makes it critical for you and your lawyer to accurately value your claim before starting settlement negotiations. Work with our team to define the value of your settlement and to ensure you receive the favorable financial settlement you deserve.
