The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office Said a Pedestrian was Struck by a Vehicle Sunday Night.
According to authorities the accident happened on SR-80 and led to a partial closure of the westbound lanes from Hendry to Martin Streets in Hendry County. Only one eastbound lane open as of 11:30 p.m.
One tow truck and two fire trucks were brought to the scene to help clear the roadway of the debris caused by the accident.
The pedestrian victim was transported to the hospital.
Officials did not reveal the cause of the crash, but said the incident remains under investigation.
