A 41-year-old was killed after being struck by a car Saturday night off on Blanding Boulevard.
Authorities said the man was walking across the southbound lanes of Blanding Blvd. near I-295 just before 11 p.m. when he was hit by an Audi A4. First responders pronounced the man dead at the scene, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said charges are pending against the 26-year-old driver of the Audi.
Jacksonville Sheriff Office closed all lanes on Blanding Blvd. while authorities investigated the incident. Rescue crews were at the scene clearing the debris from the crash. Tow and fire trucks were also onsite.
