Authorities say a LaBelle man was struck and killed by a pickup truck on SR-29 early Saturday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 12:30 a.m. and a 58-year-old pedestrian was killed.
Officials said the crash happened near E Road on SR-29 in Hendry County.
According to troopers, the pickup truck was driving south on SR-29 approaching E Road while the man was walking in the southbound lanes when the pickup truck hit the pedestrian. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP said a 32-year-old Felda man was driving the pickup truck with a 5-year-old boy and a 7-year-old boy. No one else was injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
