File a Comprehensive Claim for Compensation
Your insurance company will require proof of the damage to your home before deciding on your claim. If your insurer gives you a hard time regarding the extent of your losses, you may want to collect some evidence to support your claim. This may also prove useful should you have to go to court.
According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), examples of supporting documents and paperwork can include:
- A complete copy of your insurance policy
- Photos of your home prior to the water damage
- Photos and videos that depict your losses
- A full list of covered expenses including personal property
- Receipts showing repair costs
Share these items with a Naples personal injury lawyer. The right documentation can make your claim process much easier to navigate. Call the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine to learn more.
