A Pedestrian was Killed After Being Hit by a Car in North Fort Myers Early Friday Morning, Deputies Said.
Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene on Orange Grove Boulevard near Saint Clair Avenue West just after 5 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 51-year-old North Fort Myers woman was driving down the road when a man walked in front of her car.
Troopers said the man died at the scene.
Linda Buxin, a nurse who saw the crash and administered CPR at the scene said that she recognized the pedestrian and that he was homeless.
Troopers were not able to identify the man who died.
