An 18-Year-Old Man was Killed in a Crash in Hendry County on Saturday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Art Lawrence Road and County Road 80A (Old US Highway 27) in Clewiston. Officials said the man was walking and attempting to cross the road when the 55-year-old driver of an SUV failed to stop for the pedestrian. He was hit and killed.
The SUV driver left the scene. Her car was eventually found at her home in Clewiston and impounded.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation and has not yet said what charges the driver may face. They also have yet to determine the exact time of this crash.
