Florida Highway Patrol Said a 63-Year-Old Woman from McDonough, Georgia was Killed on Tuesday Afternoon After a Crash on I-95SB at SR 16.
Officials said that a 46-year-old man from Jacksonville was driving a tractor-trailer southbound on I-95, and the 63-year-old woman was also driving on I-95 southbound, in an SUV.
The tractor-trailer driver rear-ended the woman, causing her to travel into the center median where she hit the guardrail. She was ejected from the car, according to FHP.
Both drivers were transported to Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine for their injuries.
The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.
