A 43-Year-Old Naples Woman was Transported to the Hospital After She was Thrown from an SUV in a Rollover Crash Just Before 7 a.m. Sunday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving north on I-75 near State Road 82 with an 11-year-old boy when she veered onto the left shoulder, overcorrected, hit a guard rail and flipped the SUV.
The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car leaving her with serious injuries, troopers said.
FHP reported that the boy, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, only suffered minor injuries.
The driver was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Northbound lanes of I-75 were shut down near mile marker 138 for around three hours while troopers investigated the crash.
