Report says a multiple vehicle crash shut down northbound lanes and southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near J.Turner Butler Boulevard.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported a person was trapped in the multi-vehicle accident at Butler Boulevard.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said, that a victim was rescued from a vehicle and was being transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Also according to JFRD, the rescue was a very difficult extrication.
According to the report, the crash caused traffic to come to a stand still for people traveling near I-95 and JTB. Some drivers were reportedly stuck on the highway for hours due to that accident.
Report says, the crash was so severe that a white RV had to be removed from the median.
Police said, the cause of the crash is unknown.
