It was reported that a woman has been severely injured after a pickup truck driver lost control on Bess Road.
According to the police, the accident happened on Bess Road. A pickup truck reportedly traveling southbound lost control and led to an accident. Police said the truck was moving at a high rate of speed when the crash happened.
The 32-year-old driver of the pickup truck was attempting to make a left into Fort Caroline Road when it lost control. Reports say the pickup truck ran into the sidewalk. The authorities further reported that the pickup truck then hit a woman who was on the sidewalks.
Eyewitnesses said the female pedestrian was sprawl on the ground with injuries after she was struck by the vehicle. She has been transported to the nearest hospital on the note of emergency.
The identity of the victim is still unknown.
No further information about the crash or the condition of the injured victims has been made public. The crash is under investigation.
