17-Year-Old Killed, Infant Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-95

A Jacksonville teenager was killed while an infant was hurt after a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 North Friday.

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said that at approximately 8:55 a.m., a 17-year-old driver was traveling northbound on the I-95 entrance ramp from Airport Road when he struck a tractor-trailer traveling in the righthand lane of the highway.

Troopers say the young driver’s vehicle then rotated, colliding with two additional vehicles and eventually overturned.

The teenage driver and 1-year-old passenger were transported to UF Health Downtown. Officials later revealed that the teenager had died.

Troopers say no other injuries were reported.
