If your Miami or South Florida home sustained hurricane damage, your insurance company has an obligation to settle any insurance claims you file in good faith. If your insurance company denies your claim for covered losses after a natural disaster, a Miami property claim lawyer from the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine can help hold them accountable. We may be able to compel the insurer to resolve your claim and help you recover the compensation you deserve.
We can identify all the damages your home suffered, whether it is roof damage, water damage, structural damage, wind damage, or some other type of damage and fight to get you every dime you deserve. When insurers act in bad faith, we do not take this lightly. Your insurance adjuster is supposed to protect you from paying out of pocket for damages, but if you find that they are playing games, you need an experienced attorney to protect you from your insurer’s bad faith practices.
Our Hurricane Property Lawyers Handle Every Aspect of Your Claim
When your home sustains hurricane damage, you look to your homeowners insurance to pay for the damages covered by your policy. However, sometimes insurance companies deny valid claims by property owners or use other tactics designed to reduce their financial losses.
If the insurance company is not providing the response you need on your claim, our hurricane property claim lawyer can help you hold them to their obligations under Florida law. When you trust the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine, we will assist you with every aspect of your claim.
We manage the following tasks on your behalf:
Preparing and Filing Your Original Hurricane Damage Claim
Our Miami personal injury legal team will document your damage, calculate the value of your losses, and submit the claim to your insurance company. We will negotiate with the insurer and their lawyers, if applicable, to help you recover a fair settlement as quickly as possible.
Disputing a Hurricane Claim Denial
If the insurance company denied your claim, we will provide additional information and documentation as necessary to prove your losses are covered under the terms of your policy.
We can help you understand your policy if there is any confusion. There are a few components to the standard homeowners’ insurance policy, as shown by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
Disputing an Undervalued Settlement Offer
If the insurance company offered you a settlement that does not accurately reflect the value of your losses, we will negotiate to get you the fair financial compensation you deserve.
Filing a Supplemental Hurricane Property Claim
If you received a settlement but subsequently discovered additional damage, we will prepare a revised claim and submit a demand to the insurance company for additional compensation.
You pay your premiums on time and honor your obligations to the insurance company. The insurer must honor their obligations to you, and we may be able to compel them to do so. Our hurricane property damage lawyers will work tirelessly to ensure your insurance carrier deals in good faith to settle your claim as quickly as possible for the value you are entitled to.
Our Hurricane Property Claim Lawyer in Miami will Fight to Get You a Fair Settlement
When you trust a hurricane property claim lawyer from the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine to assist you, we will put our extensive network of resources to work on your behalf.
We understand this complex area of the law, and we are not afraid to stand up to the insurance companies and compel them to deal with hurricane damage claims in good faith.
These are just some of the ways our legal team will assist you in recovering the compensation the insurance company owes you:
Evaluating and Interpreting Your Homeowner’s Policy
We begin by evaluating your policy and explaining the details of your coverage. Insurers sometimes deny you have coverage in place or say your policy does not cover your particular losses. We will ensure a clear understanding of the items you have the right to include in your hurricane property claim.
Investigating and Documenting Your Hurricane Property Claim
We will carefully investigate your claim, identify your covered losses, and document each one. This helps us create the strongest possible claim and recover a fair settlement for your damages.
Handling Communications with All Involved Parties
Our legal team will handle every detail of your claim, including communicating on your behalf with the insurance company, other lawyers, and anyone else associated with the claims process. This allows you to focus on getting your life back to normal as quickly as possible.
Providing the Answers and Information You Deserve
Our team will be there for you to answer your questions and provide information about your claim. We will work to obtain a resolution as quickly as possible and ensure you receive updates for all milestones and critical developments.
If we do not submit your claim within the specified time, you risk losing your right to recover compensation for your losses. We also have a limited time to file a lawsuit, should that become necessary to compel the insurer to settle your claim fairly. We will make sure we file your claim and/or lawsuit within the state-imposed deadlines.

Establishing the Value of Your Miami Hurricane Property Claim
To determine the value of your Miami hurricane claim, our legal team will identify the damages to your home and property. We will document your losses carefully to ensure we submit a well-supported demand to the insurance company.
Although your claim value will depend on the nature and extent of your property damage, you may be entitled to seek compensation for the following items:
- Damage to your home’s structure and interior
- Damage to auxiliary structures (guest house, garage, workshop, etc.)
- Damage to your swimming pool, Florida room, deck, porch, etc.
- Damaged contents and personal property
- Disaster remediation (water extraction, mold removal, etc.)
- The cost of boarding up your home, temporary roof patches, etc.
- Displacement expenses if your home is unlivable (hotel, meals, transportation, etc.)
- Covered items that you replaced out of pocket
If your home was a total loss, we will submit your claim for the limits of your coverage. We will also take into consideration your deductible and any other items you cannot legally claim under the terms of your policy.
Helpful Documents to Hold Onto
Some or all of the following documentation will help us back up your claim:
- Before and after photos of your property
- Contractor repair estimates
- Itemized personal property lists
- Receipts for your expenses
Our legal team will assist you with assembling the necessary documentation. Keep copies of all receipts, estimates, and other information that we may require to complete your claim.
