Falling off a jet ski may result in death, depending upon the circumstances. A variety of factors can result in an operator and/or passengers falling from a jet ski. From operator negligence to the reckless actions of another boater, your loved one’s day of fun can turn tragic in a second.
If you lost a loved one who died from falling off a jet ski, you may be entitled to compensation via a wrongful death claim. At the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine, we offer a free case evaluation. Jet Ski Deaths and Liability
There are no seat belts on a jet ski. Falling off into the water is a real possibility due to the motion of the craft. The only safety device available to a jet ski operator is a personal flotation device (PFD), according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Any watercraft poses some level of threat to the operator, passengers, those aboard nearby watercraft, or those swimming in the ocean. In some cases, falling off a jet ski may result from the reckless actions of another jet ski operator.
A jet ski operator who takes unnecessary risks by standing while operating their watercraft can change your life forever. If a loved one died due to injuries caused by falling into the water or striking another vessel as they fell, secure legal representation without delay.
