A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on 8th Street SW just west of Sunshine Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist victim is a 31-year-old Lehigh Acres man.
Troopers said the crash involved an SUV and a motorcycle.
Officials said a 55-year-old Lehigh Acres man was backing his SUV out of a driveway on the south side of 8th Street SW while the motorcyclist was driving.
FHP said the SUV backed into the direct path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit the back of the SUV, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene, troopers confirmed.
