The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a driver was killed when her car slammed into a pole along Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale.
Report says, the crash occurred in the southbound side of Interstate 95 near Griffin Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2015 Honda Civic, being driven by a woman identified as a 19-year-old Gabriela Alexandra Botta of North Miami Beach, went out of control for unknown reasons. She reportedly veered to the right and crashed into a metal pole.
FHP Lt. Avaro Feola said, Botta died at the crash scene after the car came to rest on its side in a grassy area off the highway.
This accident may be due to damage to the road or road obstruction. What caused the car to veer out of control is part of the crash investigation.
