A Lamborghini SUV was found burning in Fort Lauderdale after a serious crash sent it flying all of the way up to the rooftop of a local duplex. The driver of a Nissan suffered from minor injuries after the crash that sent the Lamborghini Urus flying through the air. Here are the details on this recent accident along with some info on what to do when faced with a similar situation.
What Happened
The driver of the Lamborghini Urus was going excessively fast and failed to stop at a nearby stop sign. After zooming straight through the stop sign, the expensive vehicle, which was a rental, was T-boned by a Nissan SUV.
The collision propelled the Urus through the air and set it aflame until it eventually crash-landed onto the roof of a nearby duplex. Fortunately, the section of the building that was affected by the crash was unoccupied and no one living inside was injured by the vehicle.
Shortly after landing on the rooftop, the Urus tumbled to the ground, falling off of the roof, and started burning. There was someone present to witness the crash. The witness turned out to be a good Samaritan who attempted to help the driver of the ruined rental vehicle.
After helping them out of the vehicle, the driver of the totaled Lamborghini rental car ran off before they could get additional details. According to the witness, the spritely driver wasn’t wearing any shoes and ran away with only a pair of socks to protect their feet.
After the Crash
Although the driver of the Urus ran off initially, their injuries were severe enough to prompt them to seek medical attention. They eventually made their way to a nearby hospital to get help. Upon getting medical treatment, the driver of the Urus rental was subsequently located by Fort Lauderdale law enforcement.
According to recent accounts, the driver has been cooperating with police officers throughout their investigation. Local firefighters came to the scene of the crash to minimize damage from the burning vehicle.
Local residents indicated that the recent crash was the latest in a series of traffic incidents at the same intersection. The locals suggested that the intersection could go for a stoplight in favor of the stop signs which appear to be concerningly ineffective considering the number of accidents that have occurred.
What Florida Residents Should Do After Being Injured in a Traffic Accident
When you get into a car accident, it can feel like the entire world is against you. You’re shaken and maybe even in pain. You might be afraid of what will happen next. How much will this cost? Will your insurance cover it? What do you do now? If you have been injured in a car accident, it is essential that you take certain steps as soon as possible.
When in a collision, there are many details that need to be shared with relevant parties before things get messy and complicated. The sooner you take action, the easier it will be to get through this challenging time and begin moving forward again as quickly as possible.
A car accident can be extremely frightening and stressful, but by arming yourself with information, you can handle these situations deftly and without as much stress.
Keep a Record of Everything
First and foremost, keep a record of everything. You will want to keep a record of what happened, including where and when it happened, who was involved, and how it happened. If possible, take pictures of the scene and the damage.
This will help you stay organized and on top of your situation. You can also make sure to keep a record of all communication with insurance companies, doctors, and any other relevant parties. This will help you stay on track and make sure nothing gets lost in translation.
If any damage was done to your vehicle, get a repair estimate. Your insurance company will want to know the cost of the repairs in order to estimate how much they will pay out.
By recording and retaining all of this information, it will give your legal team plenty of firepower to use on your behalf in court when seeking compensation for your injuries.
