About Cerebral Palsy Cases
The risk factors associated with cerebral palsy include low or high birth weight and premature birth.
While cerebral palsy can occur naturally, it is often the result of a brain injury that happens before or during delivery, or after birth.
Your child may have cerebral palsy due to a medical professional’s actions, including:
- Failure to perform Caesarian section in time.
- Applying too much pressure to the baby’s head during birth.
- The use of vacuums during the delivery process.
- Restricting oxygen to the baby during birth.
Knowing your child’s condition was the result of an accident can be frustrating and saddening. But you do not have to deal with this alone.
If you think the medical staff who handled your child were negligent, incompetent, or otherwise responsible for his or her injuries, we want to speak with you.
Call the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine at 1-800-747-3733 to learn more about your rights and options.
The Statute of Limitations in Florida
If you are considering your legal options as the parent of a child with cerebral palsy, you may not have much more time.
Florida’s Statute of Limitations declares that lawsuits for medical malpractice must start within two years of the malpractice event or two years from the date the malpractice became evident.
Attempting to pursue a lawsuit in the effort to recover compensation from the liable parties after the deadline will result in your case’s dismissal.
Do not let your time run out.
Call 1-800-747-3733 while you still have time.
