Woman Killed After Truck Slams Into Power Pole In Arcadia %%excerpt%% Arcadia

A woman was killed in a crash in Arcadia on NW Lily Avenue just north of State Road 70.

Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the 21-year-old driver of a pick-up truck was approaching a right curve north of SR 70 on Lily Avenue when she failed to negotiate the curve which caused the pick-up truck to go across the northbound lanes and off the roadway. Troopers said the pick-up truck slammed into a power pole and overturned.

The driver was thrown from the truck and pronounced dead on scene, according to FHP.
