The Florida Highway Patrol has Confirmed the Death of a Pedestrian who was Attempting to Cross a Road Without Using a Crosswalk When He was Hit by a Vehicle on Crayton Road.
Law enforcement officials report that the accident happened on Crayton Road at Moorings where a man was attempting to cross the road. Officials say the victim was attempting to cross Crayton Road without using the crosswalk. The driver was a 33-year-old man who could not avoid hitting the victim.
EMS arrived to the scene of the accident shortly after it happened and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene as a result of multiple injuries. No information about the deceased has been released by authorities to the press.
It has not been reported if the driver who hit the pedestrian did not suffered any injuries and his identity has not been released to the press. No charges have been filed at the time of this report and authorities say the crash is still under investigation.
