Broken ribs can be debilitating. Not only are they painful, but they can affect your mobility, your breathing, and your quality of life. In addition to medical bills affecting your finances, you may be unable to work while you recover. Often, even simple fractures can take weeks or months to heal. If you develop pneumonia as a side effect of the breaks, your issues may compound. With all of these worries, pain, and financial instability, you could benefit from having an advocate on your side.
A Kendall broken ribs car accident lawyer can help you recover the cost of your medical bills and lost wages. You do not have to handle the insurance claim or lawsuit on your own. Our team can assess your legal options and pursue the avenue that’s appropriate for you. We will file your case, negotiate for your compensation, and update you frequently along the way.

We will answer all of your questions and provide frequent case updates. You will receive your lawyer’s phone number for easy access.
Also, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our car accident clients by providing services that go above and beyond your legal matter. For example, we schedule your appointments and arrange to get your car fixed. All that you need to worry about is getting better because we take care of everything else.
The Filing Deadline for Your Kendall Broken Ribs Car Accident
It can be tempting to wait until you recuperate from your injuries to pursue compensation. We know you have a lot on your plate, but if you wait too long, you may lose your opportunity for good.
The personal injury statute of limitations in Florida is four years, under Florida Statutes § 95.11(3)(a). Four years can fly by when you are recuperating from injuries. The statute of limitations for filing a wrongful death lawsuit in our state is only two years, according to Florida Statutes § 95.11(4)(d). In either case, we would have to file your lawsuit before this deadline expires.
If simply filing a claim, you often have a very short window of opportunity to reach out to the insurance company. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the process, that’s what a personal injury lawyer is for. We can track your deadlines and file on your behalf.
Our “No-Fee” Guarantee
If you have ever been involved in a legal matter before, you probably had to come up with a deposit (or retainer) to get a lawyer working on your case. That is not the way that we handle car accident cases. Like other personal injury matters, we handle car accident injuries on a contingency-fee basis.
Per this payment arrangement, we only get paid after you win. At that point, we will receive a percentage of your settlement or court award for our work on the case. We aim to be transparent about this percentage and the terms of our agreement, so you can learn more during your free consultation.

Pitfalls to Avoid After a Kendall Broken Ribs Car Accident
In Florida, you can still receive compensation for car accident losses even if you are at fault for the collision; however, once you expend your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) limits, you would have to initiate a lawsuit for additional compensation. In order to secure damages from another person, your attorney would have to prove to the insurer, judge, or jury that the other party caused your accident.
Once you initiate a lawsuit, accidents can happen later that reduce the amount of compensation you might receive from the at-fault party’s insurance. Here are a few suggestions for pitfalls to avoid:
Recorded Statements
The claims adjuster will likely ask you to give a recorded statement as part of their routine investigation. We advise our clients not to give recorded statements. The claims adjuster can get all the information they need from us without bothering you.
In a recorded statement, the adjuster asks you a list of questions. That recording gets typed up. The adjuster goes through the transcript and may take your statements out of context to reduce or deny your claim. An attorney can shield you from these bad-faith tactics by communicating with the insurer on your behalf.
Social Media
For many people, posting about the events of their lives is part of an ordinary day. We understand that you would like to keep your friends and family informed about something as important as a car accident. The problem is that the insurance company will probably get access to your social media accounts.
They can scroll through your posts and photographs, looking for any reason to blame you for the crash. We advise our clients to take a complete break from social media while they have a personal injury case pending.
