Michael Walrath has lived and practiced in Miami since 2004, after earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has dedicated his entire legal career to negotiating and litigating the reasonableness of medical bills. Prior to private practice, Mr. Walrath served as Florida counsel to the Fairness Foundation, an Indiana non-profit organization assisting uninsured patients nationwide in resolving unreasonable hospital bills. He then served as In-House Counsel to Olympus Managed Healthcare, Inc., the largest U.S. Cost Containment company serving the international health insurance market, before founding Medical Bill Clinic, P.A. (now Walrath Law, P.A.).
As such, Mr. Walrath has litigated hundreds if not thousands of hospital and other medical accounts against dozens of hospitals, hospital systems and other medical providers in Florida; the only plaintiffs’ attorney in the state, and one of only a few in the country, with a career dedicated exclusively to negotiating and litigating these specialized medical billing issues.
Mr. Walrath serves as Lien Counsel to the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine, P.A., advising on lien disputes and compliance, while overseeing the resolution of the various types of health liens attached the firms’ clients’ settlements.
Mr. Walrath speaks frequently on medical billing and hospital lien issues across the state. He is a member of the New York Bar, the Florida Bar, the Southern and Middle
District Courts, The American Association of Justice, The Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, the Dade County Justice Association, the Central Florida Justice Association and The Florida Justice Association.
Anidjar &Levine is a great law firm. They gave us a free consultation over the phone and we were able to resolve our case easily. Evans was most friendly, honest and sincere with our case and I would highly recommend this law firm to those struggling with finding the right law firm. Keep up the good work guys!
I had such an amazing experience here! Jonathan Holtz was my attorney and I could not have asked for a better person to take my case. He was very responsive and did a great job of keeping me informed! I would highly recommend letting them be your attorney.
“Anidjar and Levine, along with there amazing colleague Howard Myones are the best! My wife and I lost our home to a catastrophic fire just before Christmas last year and we were helpless. The insurance carrier refused to take our claim seriously until this outstanding law firm got involved. Mr. Myones worked our case tirelessly for nearly 8 months and we finally received a settlement that will help my wife and I get back in our home. We have a long way until we rebuild, but it would have never been possible without the firm of Anidjar and Levine and the incredible and dedicated work of Howard Myones. I strongly urge anyone seeking legal services to give this firm a call. You will not regret it.”
I had nothing but a positive experience with the Law Firm of Anidjar & Levine. What I admired the most is the level of professionalism among his staff from Anna at the front desk, who is always pleasant and polite to speak to and my attorney Marc and Jonathan Holtz who returned every call and email. Jonathan kept me well informed every step of the way. I had a horrible experience in the past with another attorney who was the complete opposite from this law firm. I can honestly say that, they surpassed my expectation and made sure that I was compensated appropriately for my injuries that I sustained in a vehicle accident. At this point their number is saved in phone and it will remain that way. They will always be the law firm I choose to represent me in the future if the need ever occurs.
