Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports a fatal crash on San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville in which one person was killed and four others seriously injured.

Police say the crash happened on San Jose Boulevard between St. Augustine and Baymeadows Road. A Lexus traveling northbound crossed the center line and struck a Toyota Tundra heading southbound.

Three people in the Tundra were seriously injured. The driver of the Lexus sustained serious injuries while his passenger was killed in the crash.

Traffic in both directions was blocked. Alternative routes such as El Ciento Boulevard and Conga Street were advised for commuters. All lanes of San Jose Boulevard have reopened as the two vehicles have been removed by tow trucks from the scene.

Police are still investigating the crash. Details of the individuals involved in the crash have not been released by the officials.
