A man was injured after a motorcycle involved crash 2 miles west of Westfield Drive in Fort Myers.

According to a report, a 60 year old driver of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was at the stop sign facing west. Officials say the accident happened when the driver of a Toyota Lexus Sedan, also traveling west, was speeding and failed to stop.  He hit the back of the Harley Davidson causing the man to be thrown from the bike.

The motorcycle rider sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.  He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Toyota driver was not injured.

The crash is being investigated. No additional details were released.
