Florida Highway Patrol arrested a Fort Myers man after he attempted to drive away after a wrong-way crash in Hendry County.
FHP said Manuel Garcia Montalvo was driving east on westbound Helms Road, west of State Road 29, causing a second vehicle to turn in order to avoid hitting his pickup.
The other vehicle driven by a 19-year-old Fort Myers woman, overturned and landed on its roof. A 37-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries. Four others, between the ages of 18 and 40, were not injured.
Garcia Montalvo fled the scene and attempted to make a U-turn near A-Road but got stuck in the east grass shoulder of State Road 29.
Authorities said he was arrested for leaving the scene, DUI and infractions for no registration, no insurance and driving the wrong way.
Garcia Montalvo was booked into Hendry County Jail, troopers said.
