An 86-Year-Old Man was Killed in a Crash in Jacksonville.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, troopers responded to the crash that happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Hart Expressway and University Boulevard.
Authorities said the 86-year-old was taking the exit on University Boulevard when his car, a Toyota Tacoma, left the road and flipped before coming to a rest between the on and off ramp.
Emergency Services transported the victim to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police believe the victim was likely not wearing a seatbelt.
An investigation has been launched to ascertain the cause of the crash. Police believe it was due to excessive speed, the sharp curve of the exit or a medical emergency.
