A person has been killed and another taken to the hospital for prompts medical attention after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, they received a call pertaining to the crash.

 

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Lazaro Castano said they received a call of a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. He also said they made a response to the area, and just before their arrival at the said area, they received a notice that a crash had occurred.

However, as a result of the crash, a person was declared dead at the scene of the accident while the other person was urgently taken to the hospital though the medical condition of the individual remain unknown.

At the moment, investigations into the crash are still ongoing. Details of the person who was confirmed dead and the other individual taken to the hospital are yet to be divulged by the authorities.
