A driver was transported to the hospital Saturday night after a crash that shut down all southbound lanes on Dames Point Bridge.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two vehicles were injured in the crash that occurred on the south end of the bridge.
Authorities said one driver was rescued from the water after their car went over the bridge wall. The individual was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
The accident led to the traffic closure of all the southbound lanes.
Authorities said they are still investigating the cause of the crash as they are yet to identify which driver was at fault.
