
Fort Myers Police Department Say a Driver Hit a Bicyclist and Ran Away From the Crash on Foot.
According to officials, the crash happened at around 12:30 p.m. at Moreno Avenue and Broadway Avenue. A car and a bike were seen at the scene, and a fire truck is spraying the street.
A witness who spoke with authorities said she saw a man run from a smashed-up car after hitting a man on a bicycle. She said the bicyclist was in the road, but he was alert with the EMT’s.
The car also hit a light pole. FPL is on scene, and a tow truck is removing the car.
The exact condition of the bicyclist is unknown at this time.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
