According to Miami Police, a Car Struck an SUV in Southwest 40th Street Accident, Resulting in Three Injuries.
A Toyota Corolla car drove into Mariola Court from Southwest 40th Street and struck a Honda CRV at the intersection. Police added that the Toyota car and the SUV approached the intersection together at high rate of speed.
Report confirms that the 53-year-old driver of the SUV was driving on the turn lane when this accident happened. As well, the 23-year-old driver of the Toyota car exceeded the speed limits into the intersection.
The Toyota reportedly struck the SUV from the rear and the two vehicles flipped into the shoulder of the road. Three people were reported to be involved in this crash. The driver of the Toyota and the driver of the SUV with 30-year-old passenger in the Honda CRV, police said.
EMS reported that the driver of the Toyota sustained severe injuries to his head and shoulders. The other victims of the accident also sustained severe injuries. However, their condition is currently unknown. They were all taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
