One Transported To Hospital After Fort Myers Crash

Officials said one person was taken to the hospital after a crash at Fowler and Dora Streets in Fort Myers on Saturday.

Fort Myers fire rescue said they responded to the crash at 5:30 p.m. where multiple people reported the driver was pinned.

The accident involved two vehicles, a sedan, and a minivan.

Fort Myers Fire Department said crews began extricating one person that was trapped after the crash. 

After the person was taken to the hospital, crews stayed at the crash to assist with road hazard removal.

The accident led to the traffic closure of all the southbound lanes and two of the northbound lanes until the vehicles involved could be cleared.

Authorities said they are still investigating the cause of the crash as they are yet to identify which driver was at fault.
