Wrong-Way Car Accident On FL-228 Killed A Man

The report says the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 52-year-old pastor in a wrong-way car accident in the westbound lanes of FL-228 at Normandy Manor.

According to officials, a man was killed in a deadly crash that happened in the westbound lanes of FL-228 at Normandy Manor. Eyewitnesses said he was traveling westbound on the highway when his vehicle was struck by a driver who was traveling in the wrong direction on the road. The driver apparently entered the road going the wrong-way leading to the fatal collision.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene of the accident to transport the victim to the hospital, officers said. However, he was pronounced dead due to the multiple injuries he sustained in the crash. Authorities reported that the other driver, a father of 4, suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. No further information about his current condition has been released to the press.

The report says that FL-228 westbound lane was shut down for traffic workers to clear the wreckage and debris from the crashed vehicles.
