A woman is dead after she was hit by a car on State Road 104 in Jacksonville.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 11:54 p.m. on State Road 104 near North Campus Boulevard.
The accident occurred when the driver of a Dodge Charger traveling east struck a 46-year-old woman who was crossing the road outside of the designated crosswalk, FHP said.
The woman was later pronounced dead, according to the FHP.
The driver of the Charger did pull over after the crash.
Officials said the incident remains under investigation and that the driver was cooperating.
