A woman has been hospitalized after she was involved in a serious crash along the 8200 block of Nova Drive.
According to Authorities the non-fatal crash happened when a pickup truck entered the lane of another vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction on Nova Drive. The impact from the collision caused both of the vehicles to veer off of the road before coming to a stop. Law enforcement authorities did not give the reason why the driver drove into the lane of the oncoming second vehicle and did not elaborate on how fast the vehicles were going.
Both of the drivers sustained various injuries with the driver of the first vehicle receiving only minor ones. The female driver of the second vehicle, whose identity was not given to the public, sustained critical injuries.
Emergency crews were at the scene of the accident attending to the drivers and clearing the area of debris and wreckage. Both drivers were taken to the hospital where they are receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
No other details of the crash or of the injured victims has been released by law enforcement officials. Police are still investigating the incident to determine the factors that led to the crash.
Marc Anidjar, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, commented on the crash: “This was a serious accident that led to a woman sustaining critical injuries through no fault of her own. When motorists are reckless, they put the lives of others at risk. When a negligent driver causes a crash, he or she could be held accountable for the accident. An injured victim should seek out an experienced accident attorney to help with the collection of compensation for medical care, losses and damages.”
