Authorities reported a crash which led to a woman sustaining critical injuries in Miami. The crash is being investigated.

According to the news release by the authorities, the crash occurred on Northwest 57th Avenue near the Palmetto expressway. The driver of a Ford F-250 pickup was headed east when suddenly the tread of a rear tire dislodged and made the driver lose control. The pickup slammed into the vehicle in front him.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit was a 37 year old woman from Miami. She was critically injured and taken to the nearest local hospital. The driver of the pickup was also injured and was taken to another hospital.

The crash remains under investigation. The crash caused traffic for some time as emergency crews cleared the scene. No other details were released.
