Jacksonville Police Department have reported that a woman crashed into a taxi, leaving herself and a taxi driver injured.
According to the accident reports, the crash occurred near Hampton Villa Apartments on Edgewood Avenue West in Jacksonville. A spokesman for the police said the woman was driving eastbound in her 2014 Honda Accord. She was driving at a high rate of speed while she was approaching a dangerous curve.
She lost control of her Honda and rear-ended the taxi parked on the right shoulder of the road. The crash left her with serious but not life threatening injuries. The identity of the woman has not been reported yet.
Eyewitnesses said EMS arrived quickly to the scene of the accident and administered first aid treatment to the victim. Report also says she has been transported to a nearby hospital by emergency responders.
The taxi driver also had minor injuries and was treated by EMS before being taken to the hospital.
The accident is under investigation to know the full cause of the accident.
