According to law enforcement officials, two people have been confirmed injured after a vehicle hit their motorcycle at Upper East Side, Miami.
The accident happened close to the intersection of Northeast 79th Street at Upper East Side in Miami, police said. Close to this intersection, the report says a man and woman were riding a motorcycle on Northeast 4th Court. Then a vehicle reportedly ran a red light and hit the motorcycle at the intersection. The motorcycle was knocked off of the road and hit the guardrail before coming to a stop.
The report says EMS arrived at the scene soon after the accident was called in. The 28-year-old man driving the motorcycle sustained severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
His passenger, a 25-year-old woman, was also injured in the accident and taken to the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and stayed behind to be questioned by the police.
Police say the accident is still is under investigation and no other details were released.
