Two people were injured in a 2-car accident at Urban Core in Jacksonville, officials said.
According to the official reports, the accident involved 2 vehicles. The cars were identified as a 2009 Toyota Camry and a 2011 Toyota Corolla.
The accident between these two vehicles occurred on 8th Street North, close to Main Street North. Officials said the 34-year-old driver of the Camry slowed to a stop for traffic and was rear-ended by the Corolla which failed to decelerate in time.
The Camry was knocked off onto the shoulder of the road after being rear-ended, police added. There were two occupants inside the car at the time of the crash. Both the driver and the passenger were both injured from the sudden impact of the Corolla.
The Corolla driver did not sustain any injuries according to the accident report. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed yet.
The crash is still under investigation and no further details have been released to the public.
Glen Levine, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, comments on this crash: “This was a unfortunate accident that led to two persons sustaining injuries. When motorists are distracted, reckless or speeding they put the lives of others at risk. When a negligent driver causes a crash, he or she could be held accountable for the accident. An injured victim should seek out an experienced accident attorney to help with the collection of compensation for medical care, losses and damages.”
