Law enforcement authorities reported a crash on Interstate 10 that left two people critically injured in Jacksonville after one vehicle sideswipes the other.
According to the report, the accident happened when two SUVs were headed westbound on Interstate 10.
The two vehicles were traveling side by side on Interstate 10 when one of the vehicles drifted into the lane of the other. The vehicles made contact causing one of the vehicles to spin out and lose control. The vehicle that spun out of control overturned in the left lane, rolled in the median, and finally came to a stop.
EMS arrived to the scene of the accident and reported that the driver in the vehicle that flipped overturned was wearing a seat belt while the passenger in the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected as it rolled through the median.
Both the driver and the passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. Reports did not say if the other driver in the first vehicle sustained any injuries.
No other details were released as officials are still investigating the incident.
