Two Injured After Driver Crashes Into Restaurant In Lauderhill

Authorities reported two people were injured in a crash when the driver of a Sport Utility Vehicle crashed into a restaurant in Lauderhill.

According to the news release by the officials, they say the crash happened at 4261 Northwest 12th Street. Police say the vehicle was parked in front of the business when the man pressed the gas assuming the vehicle was in reverse. An eyewitness said they were watching a game when all of a sudden they heard a loud bang. The driver of the vehicle had just ordered takeout and was leaving the restaurant when the accident happened.

Police say a man was seriously injured in the crash while another lady sustained minor injuries. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver was not hurt in the crash. Details of the individuals involved in the crash have not been released by the authorities.
