Law enforcement authorities reported a serious traffic accident on Northwest 7th Street involving a van and another vehicle that left two people injured.

The crash happened after reports were called in about a reckless driver in a Nissan SUV heading eastbound on Northwest 7th Street.

Officials say the driver lost control, swerved into the westbound lanes and then crashed into the back of a car. The Nissan also hit the front of a van with passengers on board during the crash with the car.

EMS arrived to the scene of the accident soon after it happened and administered first aid to the injured victims. Emergency crews reported that the driver of the van sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan that caused the crash was critically injured. The driver in the other car did not have any reported injuries. All of the injured victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Authorities say that the incident is currently under investigation and no other details were released to the public.
