Miami police reported that two pedestrians were injured in two separate accidents on Southwest 17th Avenue.
Report says that two pedestrians were struck while walking on Southwest 17th Avenue, though by different vehicles. The first accident happened when a Nissan, driven by an 18-year-old woman, struck a 29-year-old woman. It was reported that the driver just recently obtained a drivers license.
EMS crews arrived and stabilize the pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries. While first responders were attending to the pedestrian a second crash occurred.
A 30-year-old woman was struck by another car about 250 yards away from the initial accident scene. The female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
After the EMS team has administered first aid treatment to the victims, they were transported to a nearby hospital.
Jacksonville police are investigating the crashes. No charges have currently been filed.
Glen Levine, from the Law Firm of Anidjar and Levine, comments on this crash: “This was a serious two separate accident that left two female pedestrians injured. We advise drivers to always drive with caution and to use seat belt at all times. Sadly even minor accidents can cause severe injuries. Many times when accidents like these happen people do not know who to turn to for help. It is best to consult with an experienced car accident attorney.”
