Two Drivers Injured In Charlotte County Crash %%excerpt%% Charlotte County

Two persons suffered minor injuries in a crash in Charlotte County.

According to a statement, the crash occurred at Bermont Road and Acorn Ranch Road at 7:47 a.m.

A 40-year-old Zolfo Springs man driving a semi-truck was heading westbound on Bermont Road when it crossed the center lane.

The 28-year-old driver of a pickup, who was traveling east on Bermont Road, attempted to avoid the semi by swerving into the westbound lanes but the semi’s driver overcorrected causing a collision.

Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
