Law enforcement officials reported a crash on Ribault Scenic Drive that left two bicyclists injured.

According to the news release, authorities said the crash happened on Ribault Scenic Drive involving two bicyclists. A Nissan Rogue had a tire blowout and lost control of the vehicle.  The Nissan swerved towards the shoulder of the road striking the bicyclists.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to tend to the victims. One cyclist was moderately injured and transported to a nearby hospital.

The other bicyclist’s injuries were not severe. He chose not to go to the hospital and was treated at the scene.  The driver remained at the scene of the crash.

Meanwhile, the crash remains under active investigation and authorities will provide more information once the investigation is complete. Police have not released the identity of the driver or release any additional details.
