Truck Driver Ran Red Light And Killed A 5-Year-Old On Southwest 4th Avenue

A pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old boy was traveling south on Southwest 4th Avenue near the intersection of Southwest 17th Street when the accident happened.

It was reported that he failed to stop at the stop sign and consequently t-boned a car at the intersection. This accident led to the death of a 5-year-old child of Fort Lauderdale.

The details of the car and the information about its occupants, including the identity of the child, has not been made public by the authorities.

It was reported that alcohol was not the cause of the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
