A car accident at Ft. Lauderdale Beach closed both lanes of traffic along a heavily-traveled road on North Ocean Boulevard.
Report says this accident happened close to the beach in Fort Lauderdale. The multi-car car accident on North Ocean Boulevard has led to the closure of both the northbound and southbound lanes.
Upon arrival at the accident scene, crews with reporting agency reportedly found two cars believed to be in the accident. According to their report, one car was smashed in the front end on the west shoulder. Meanwhile, the other reportedly flipped over along the north shoulder.
Fort Lauderdale police confirmed one person was killed in the accident.
Traffic along southbound North Ocean Boulevard was backed up about half of a mile, report says. The traffic standstill was ongoing about an hour after the accident.
There was no cause given for the car accident. Fort Lauderdale Police is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
