Traffic Dealys After Accident on Pritchard Road At Cisco Gardens

Jacksonville Sheriffs’ Office reported that a traffic accident on Pritchard Road at Cisco Gardens that left two people critically injured.

According to the news release by authorities, a vehicle ran a red light and caused a crash that escalated into a two-vehicle collision. Consequently, the crash sent two people to the hospital and caused serious traffic delays for several hours on Pritchard Road.

Police said a Honda Accord driving west ran the red light and then collided with the driver of a Saturn Ion. The Honda then spun around and collided with a third vehicle that was stationary.

EMS arrived at the scene of the crash and administered on-site first aid to both drivers. The Saturn and Honda drivers both suffered critical injuries in the crash. EMS transported them to the hospital for further treatment.

Traffic was heavy in the area, but all lanes have since reopened for normal flow. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
